Advance Camp is BACK! The second edition of the largest FREE conference dedicated to identifying and training the next generation of political optics & logistics professionals will be held on the weekend of Saturday, April 23rd, 2022 on the campus of The George Washington University in Washington, DC!

In 2019, the inaugural Advance Camp drew more than 1,550 attendees from all across the country to learn more about advance and hear from professionals who have made it a part of their career.

With nineteen Presidential candidates all fielding advance teams that cycle, the goal of Advance Camp was to recruit fresh & diverse talent and introduce them to the nuts and bolts of doing campaign advance work, have them network with veteran advancers to learn more, then send their info afterwards to the campaigns — and more than 100 attendees ended up serving on various primary campaigns in 2019-2020.

In 2022, the main goal of Advance Camp remains recruiting new faces, especially people from traditionally underrepresented communities in advance work, who might be a great fit to work in political optics & operations, then connect them to learn more about getting involved.

Advance Camp will feature a full day of panel discussions, breakout groups, guest speakers and informal networking sessions. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn what role advance plays in modern government & campaigns, basic advance skills applicable to any public event, examples of career paths that advance work can open doors for, and more.

We also want to welcome Democratic political communicators from all organizations - allied groups, unions, non-profits, Hill staff, etc - who can take a little bit of advance skills and connections made during the conference and bring that back to their day to day job.

And if you’re not able to join us this year, you can still help us by spreading the opportunity around, especially to new faces who you think might excel at advance work!
